Jillian and Brian’s wedding was supposed to take place outside, under the fall leaves on what should have been a pretty warm day. The day arrived, and the snow would not stop. That is despair on Jillian’s face in the second photo as she looks out the window. But from my perspective, and I think many of the guests and finally Jillian and Brian themselves, it was the absolute perfect weather. The summer camp with a rustic lodge was so cozy as the fires blared inside and the snow kept piling up. Jillian did an amazing job with DIY decorations – homemade jam as favors, logs from Brian’s mother’s backyard hollowed out for baby’s breath and attached to chairs, and personalized beer steins for all the groomsmen. Their friends knew how to party with food fights, keg stands and s’mores into the night. This wedding was featured on 100 Layer Cake, you can hear Jillian’s own description of the wedding over there.

I had already decided that this wedding was sublime, when I came to the image of the cocktail buffet in vintage glass urns. I am now in a dead faint. Love. And the photography is stunning.
