These two. I didn’t get a chance to meet Clay and Regina in person until their wedding day, but when Regina saw me she gave me the most wonderful enveloping hug. These two draw people in with their laughter and their care. Weddings usually bring out the best in people. Toasts are always lovely and hilarious and affections run high, but it is clear that Clay and Regina live with this kind of joy, connection and community every day, not just on special occasions. They are lucky in love, with each other and their friends. Their day overflowed with the beauty and warmth that is clearly a part of them through and through.

Caroline and David threw the most heartfelt intimate party at the Tabard Inn this spring. I loved the way they looked at each other all day creating little moments between them, just soaking each other in. Congratulations on a great love you two. You can see more photos and also some thoughts on the day from Caroline in their United With Love feature here and here.

Alex and Rob included so many personal details into their wedding that made it meaningful for them. During the ceremony their rings were passed around the room so that everyone could say a blessing over them. They tried to make sure that all of the elements of their wedding were reflective of their personalities, that included getting a DJ who donates some of his fee to greyhound rescue, a vegetarian menu, a nature theme, dancing the Romanian hora and Alex’s mother filling little glass bottles with tuica, a Romanian plum brandy or moonshine for all the tables. It was a beautifully intimate evening – you can hear more of Alex’s perspective in their feature on United With Love. ┬áSpecial thanks to my super second shooter, Caleb.
