A few weeks ago we took a little trip to the West Coast for a wedding (more on that soon), and one of the highlights of the trip was staying at a great little boutique hotel in Boise, ID. The folks at The Modern Hotel completely revamped a typical mid century motel with gorgeous sleek retro furniture. When I heard about it I knew I wanted to do a photoshoot there someday. So my brother (of Hyde Park Books fame – go there!) introduced me to Anne and she and I put on some great music and went to town with the vintage clothes and props. Thanks again to Anne for patiently looking beautiful for hours and all of the awkward perching on chairs. And if you’re ever in Boise we recommend The Modern and their gnocchi!Modern-HotelVintage-BoudoirVintage-Record-PlayerMid Century Modern BoudoirVintage-MotelMaryland Retro BoudoirRetro-Nightgown

Absolutely love this set. Wish there were more in the blue top, a great accent color to the green headboard. Great work, Sarah!

I absolutely LOVE this photoshoot. I’m a sucker for vintage, and Anne is just beautiful. I love the colors of the hotel too. So simply amazing that I had to link to it from my blog.

I really, REALLY love your work. You have such a special eye. It’s unlike so many other photographers out there, and just the way you see the world amazes me. I love your use of lines and shadows in these images. Just stunning!
